Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is just a bit better than Microsoft Surface 2, with a 67.9 score against 61.8. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 comes with Android 4.4 operating system, and Microsoft Surface 2 works with Windows RT 8.1 operating system. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9's construction is newer, somewhat thinner and lighter than the Microsoft Surface 2.
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a much more vibrant screen than Microsoft Surface 2, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a way greater display pixels density and a higher resolution of 1600 x 2560.
