Microsoft Surface 2 is a fascinating Windows portable tablet released back in 2013, coming with a huge 10.6-inches multi-touch screen, a high performance 1.7 GHz Quad-Core processor, a 5 mega-pixels back facing camera and a 3.5 mega-pixels front facing camera.
Microsoft didn't seem to put much effort to reduce weight in this 23.84 oz tablet. This tablet is just 0.35 inches thick, making it one of the thinnest tablets on sale. Although the Microsoft Surface 2 just has 10.81" long and 6.79 inches wide, it is able to fit a a 10.6" display.
Microsoft equipped the Microsoft Surface 2 with a NVIDIA Tegra 4 (T40) system chip, backed up by a very powerful Quad-Core processor speeding at 1.7 GHz and a great 2 GB of RAM memory. An excellent aspect of the Microsoft Surface 2 is the 32 GB big internal memory and a slot for an external memory card, more than enough to install tons of apps, games, pictures and videos without having to worry about filling the tablet.
This device is equipped with two cameras, a 5 MP back camera and a 3.5 megapixels front facing camera. It is capable of filming videos up to 1920x1080 (Full HD). This camera also counts with auto-focus.
Microsoft designed this tablet with a nice 10.6" display, and a 1080 x 1920 (Full HD) resolution, giving this tablet device a good level graphical experience. This display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and is multi-touch enabled.
This tablet features wi-fi capability (although it can't share it with other devices acting as a modem), 4G (LTE) high speed connection type and fast 3G internet connection, using HSPA, HSUPA and EDGE technologies. The Microsoft Surface 2 uses a SIM card for GSM connection.
The Microsoft Surface 2 also features a few interesting characteristics such as Bluetooth (for communication with other bluetooth devices, computers, and accessories) and GPS Geolocation, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.
