Comparison review
The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is just a bit better than Microsoft Surface 2, getting a 67.4 score against 61.8. Even when the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch and the Microsoft Surface 2 were only released 4 months apart, the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is noticeably lighter and somewhat thinner. Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has Android 4.2.2 OS, while Microsoft Surface 2 comes with Windows RT 8.1 OS.
The Microsoft Surface 2 has a bit sharper display than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because it has a just a little greater pixels density, a lot bigger display and a way higher 1080 x 1920 resolution. Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch counts with slightly more storage capacity for games and applications than Microsoft Surface 2, although it has just 16 GB internal storage.
Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has just a little better processing power than Microsoft Surface 2, because although it has a lower amount of RAM and 2 less and slower processing cores, it also counts with an additional graphics co-processor.
