Comparison review
The Microsoft Surface 2 has a global score of 63.4, which is better than the Acer Iconia W510's overall score of 57.5. Both of these tablets have Windows OS (Operating System), but the Microsoft Surface 2 has the newer RT 8.1 version and Acer Iconia W510 has Windows 8 version, giving you some extra features. The Microsoft Surface 2 design has the same thickness than Acer Iconia W510, but it's somewhat heavier.
Acer Iconia W510 has a processor that is just as good as the processor in Microsoft Surface 2, because although the Acer Iconia W510 has lesser and slower processing cores, and they both have a 2 GB RAM, it also counts with an extra graphics processor. Microsoft Surface 2 features a little bit better screen than Acer Iconia W510, because it has a higher count of pixels per inch of screen, a quite larger display and a better resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels.
Microsoft Surface 2 has slightly more memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Acer Iconia W510, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with 32 GB more internal memory capacity. Acer Iconia W510 shoots slightly better pictures and videos than Microsoft Surface 2, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same (Full HD) video quality, the Acer Iconia W510 also has a much better 8 MP resolution camera in the back.
The Acer Iconia W510 counts with a much longer battery performance than Microsoft Surface 2.
Although Microsoft Surface 2 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Acer Iconia W510, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Acer Iconia W510. If you are trying to save some money, you can buy the Acer Iconia W510, and give up a couple features, but you'll get the most with your money.
