Comparison review
The Microsoft Surface 2 has a general score of 63.4, which is just a bit better than Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8's global score of 62.3. Even being the best tablet in our current comparison, Microsoft Surface 2 is a somewhat thicker and way heavier tablet than Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8. Microsoft Surface 2 counts with Windows RT 8.1 operating system, and Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 comes with Android 4.4 operating system.
The Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 has a quite superior processing power than Microsoft Surface 2, and although they both have 2 GB of RAM memory, the Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 also has more CPU cores and a graphics processor. The Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 counts with a brighter screen than Microsoft Surface 2, because although it has a way smaller screen, it also counts with a bit higher resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and a greater pixels density.
The Microsoft Surface 2 counts with a much greater storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage capacity. Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 has a camera that is just as good as the camera in Microsoft Surface 2, both have a 5 megapixels resolution back camera.
