Comparison review
Apple iPad 3 has an overall score of 71.1, which is much better than Microsoft Surface 2's 63.4 overall score. Despite of the fact the Apple iPad 3 is older and a little thicker than Microsoft Surface 2, it's design is still a bit lighter. The Apple iPad 3 counts with iOS 6.1 operating system, while Microsoft Surface 2 has Windows RT 8.1 operating system.
Microsoft Surface 2 features just a little better performance than Apple iPad 3, because it has a larger amount of RAM memory and a greater number of cores. The iPad 3 features a more vivid screen than Microsoft Surface 2, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a higher resolution of 1536 x 2048 and more pixels per inch of display.
The Apple iPad 3 shoots a lot better pictures and videos than Microsoft Surface 2. Both have the same (Full HD) video definition, the same resolution back-facing camera and the same video frame rates. Apple iPad 3's storage for applications and games is just as good as the Microsoft Surface 2 one, and although the Apple iPad 3 has no external memory card slot, they both have exactly the same internal storage.
The iPad 3 counts with a really longer battery lifetime than Microsoft Surface 2.
