Comparison review

Microsoft Surface 2 has a global score of 63.4, which is much better than Asus VivoTab's global score of 57.5. Although the Microsoft Surface 2 is newer than Asus VivoTab, it is a little bit thicker and a bit heavier. Both of these tablets include Windows OS (operating system), but Microsoft Surface 2 has the newer RT 8.1 version and Asus VivoTab has Windows 8.

The Microsoft Surface 2 has a more vivid display than Asus VivoTab, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a better resolution of 1080 x 1920px and a much greater pixel density. Asus VivoTab counts with as much storage capacity for applications and games as the Microsoft Surface 2, and although the Asus VivoTab has no external memory slot, they both have the same 64 GB internal memory capacity.

The Asus VivoTab counts with a little faster processing unit than Microsoft Surface 2, because although it has a lower number of cores (although they are faster), and they both have the same RAM amount, the Asus VivoTab also counts with an extra GPU. Asus VivoTab has a battery performance that's just as good as Microsoft Surface 2's battery duration.

Asus VivoTab takes a bit better photographs and videos than Microsoft Surface 2, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution, the Asus VivoTab also has a lot more mega-pixels camera.

Although Microsoft Surface 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Asus VivoTab, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Asus VivoTab. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Microsoft Surface 2, else you can save some money and buy the Asus VivoTab, resigning a couple specifications.
