Comparison review
The Microsoft Surface 2 has a score of 63.4, which is just a bit better than Google Nexus 7's overall score of 59.3. The Microsoft Surface 2 construction is newer and thinner than Google Nexus 7's, but it is incredibly heavier. Microsoft Surface 2 has Windows RT 8.1 operating system, and Google Nexus 7 counts with Android 5.1 operating system.
The Microsoft Surface 2 counts with just a little better processing power than Google Nexus 7, because although it has doesn't have an additional GPU, and they both have a Quad-Core processor, the Microsoft Surface 2 also counts with 1 GB more RAM. The Google Nexus 7 has a bit sharper display than Microsoft Surface 2, because although it has a way worse 800 x 1280 resolution and a much smaller screen, it also counts with a quite higher pixels number per inch in the display.
Microsoft Surface 2 features a lot bigger memory for applications and games than Google Nexus 7, because it has 64 GB internal storage. Microsoft Surface 2 features a lot better camera than Google Nexus 7. Google Nexus 7 features a much longer battery lifetime than Microsoft Surface 2.
Although Microsoft Surface 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Google Nexus 7, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Google Nexus 7. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get the Google Nexus 7, and give up a few specs and features, but you will get the most out of your savings.
