Comparison review
Microsoft Surface 2 has an overall score of 63.4, which is slightly better than HTC Flyer's 58.7 global score. Although Microsoft Surface 2 is notably heavier than the HTC Flyer, it's incredibly thinner and also much newer. The Microsoft Surface 2 works with Windows RT 8.1 OS, while HTC Flyer counts with Android 3.2 OS.
Microsoft Surface 2 features just a bit better screen than HTC Flyer, because it has a way larger screen, a lot better resolution of 1080 x 1920px and a little bit higher screen density. Microsoft Surface 2 has a bit bigger memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than HTC Flyer, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 32 GB more internal memory capacity.
The Microsoft Surface 2 counts with a bit faster processing unit than HTC Flyer, because although it has doesn't have a graphics co-processor, it also counts with a higher amount of RAM and a higher number of cores (and they are faster). HTC Flyer features a much longer battery lifetime than Microsoft Surface 2.
The HTC Flyer features a better camera than Microsoft Surface 2. Both of them have the same 1280x720 (HD) video definition, a 5 mega-pixels back facing camera and the same video frame rates.
Although Microsoft Surface 2 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than HTC Flyer, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as HTC Flyer. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get the HTC Flyer, letting go a few features and specifications, but you'll get the most with your money.
