Comparison review

Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 is slightly better than Microsoft Surface 2, having a 67.1 score against 63.4. Although the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 and the Microsoft Surface 2 were released only a couple of months apart, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 is thinner and a lot lighter. Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 comes with Android 4.4.2 operating system, while Microsoft Surface 2 has Windows RT 8.1 operating system.

Microsoft Surface 2 counts with a bit sharper screen than Galaxy Note 8.0, because it has a much higher 1080 x 1920 resolution, a quite higher screen pixel density and a really bigger screen. Microsoft Surface 2 has a much greater memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with more internal storage capacity.

Galaxy Note 8.0 features a little better performance than Microsoft Surface 2, and although they both have the same RAM memory amount and a Quad-Core CPU, the Galaxy Note 8.0 also has an extra graphics processing unit.
