The Microsoft Surface 2 has an overall score of 63.4, which is a little bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE's score of 61.7. The Microsoft Surface 2 is a newer and thinner tablet than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, but it's notably heavier. Microsoft Surface 2 counts with Windows RT 8.1 operating system, while Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE has Android 4.1 operating system.

The Microsoft Surface 2 features a bit better looking screen than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because it has a much larger screen, a way higher resolution of 1080 x 1920px and a little higher pixels amount in each inch of display. The Microsoft Surface 2 has a little faster processing unit than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because although it has doesn't have an additional GPU, it also counts with a greater number of faster cores and 1 GB more RAM.

Microsoft Surface 2 counts with a much bigger storage capacity to install applications and games than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage capacity. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, giving up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
