The Microsoft Surface 2 has an overall score of 63.4, which is a little bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE's score of 61.7. The Microsoft Surface 2 is a newer and thinner tablet than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, but it's notably heavier. Microsoft Surface 2 counts with Windows RT 8.1 operating system, while Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE has Android 4.1 operating system.
The Microsoft Surface 2 features a bit better looking screen than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because it has a much larger screen, a way higher resolution of 1080 x 1920px and a little higher pixels amount in each inch of display. The Microsoft Surface 2 has a little faster processing unit than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because although it has doesn't have an additional GPU, it also counts with a greater number of faster cores and 1 GB more RAM.
Microsoft Surface 2 counts with a much bigger storage capacity to install applications and games than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage capacity. The Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE captures clearer photos and videos than Microsoft Surface 2, although it has a lot lower (HD) video resolution and a back-facing camera with lot less mega-pixels resolution.
The Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE has a very superior battery lifetime than Microsoft Surface 2.
Although Microsoft Surface 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, giving up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
