Comparison review
Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is a little bit better than the Microsoft Surface 2, getting a 67.4 score against 63.4. Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch's construction is thinner and extremely lighter than the Microsoft Surface 2, even though they were released with only 4 months difference. Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch counts with Android 4.2.2 operating system, and Microsoft Surface 2 counts with Windows RT 8.1 operating system.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has a bit faster processing unit than Microsoft Surface 2, because although it has less RAM memory and an inferior number of cores and also slower, it also counts with an extra graphics processor. Microsoft Surface 2 features a bit better looking display than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because it has a way bigger display, a lot higher resolution of 1080 x 1920px and a just a bit higher pixels number per inch in the display.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch counts with a better camera than Microsoft Surface 2. Both have a same resolution camera in the back, the same (HD) video resolution and the same video frame rate. The Microsoft Surface 2 features a much better memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 48 GB more internal memory.
