Comparison review
The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has a general score of 66.2, which is a little bit better than the Microsoft Surface 2's 63.4 global score. The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 counts with Android 4.4.2 OS, while Microsoft Surface 2 has Windows RT 8.1 OS. Galaxy Tab 4 8.0's design is lighter and somewhat thinner than the Microsoft Surface 2, although both were released with only 6 months difference.
Microsoft Surface 2 has a little bit better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics co-processor, and they both have 4 cores, the Microsoft Surface 2 also counts with a larger amount of RAM memory. Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has just a bit better display than Microsoft Surface 2, although it has a bit less pixels per screen inch, a lot worse 1280 x 800 resolution and a really smaller screen.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 counts with just a bit better camera than Microsoft Surface 2, although it has a much lower 3 mega-pixels resolution back camera and a much worse (HD) video definition. The Microsoft Surface 2 has a lot bigger storage capacity to store more apps and games than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 48 GB more internal storage capacity.
