The Microsoft Surface 2 counts with Windows RT 8.1 operating system, and Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD works with Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. Even though the Microsoft Surface 2 is better than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, we must highlight that it is also a way older, much heavier and thicker device.
Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD features a bit more vivid display than Microsoft Surface 2, because although it has a way smaller screen, it also counts with a slightly better 1200 x 1920px resolution and a higher quantity of pixels per inch of display. The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD counts with a little bit better performance than Microsoft Surface 2, because it has a greater amount of RAM and a larger number of cores.
