Comparison review
The Microsoft Surface 3 has an overall score of 66.3, which is just a bit better than Asus ZenPad Z8's global score of 61.9. Even being the best in this comparison review, we must tell that it is also older, incredibly heavier and thicker. Asus ZenPad Z8 counts with a more vivid display than Microsoft Surface 3, because although it has a lot smaller display, it also counts with a lot higher screen pixels density and a little higher resolution of 1536 x 2048px.
Microsoft Surface 3 counts with a lot bigger storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Asus ZenPad Z8, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with more internal storage. The Asus ZenPad Z8 features a bit faster processing unit than Microsoft Surface 3, because although it has a lower amount of RAM, it also counts with 2 more cpu cores.
The Asus ZenPad Z8 shoots much better pictures and videos than Microsoft Surface 3. They have the same video frame rates, the same 1920x1080 video quality and a same resolution back-facing camera. Asus ZenPad Z8 features a very superior battery duration than Microsoft Surface 3.
