The Microsoft Surface 3 is just a bit better than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), having a 66.3 score against 61.4. Although the Microsoft Surface 3 is just a little heavier than the Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), it's somewhat thinner and noticeably newer. Microsoft Surface 3 features a quite better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because it has more RAM and a greater number of cores.

Microsoft Surface 3 has a little sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because it has a little larger screen, a much better resolution of 1920 x 1280 and a better screen density. The Microsoft Surface 3 has a much bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with more internal memory capacity.

The Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) counts with a very superior battery life than Microsoft Surface 3. Microsoft Surface 3 counts with a slightly better camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because it has a camera in the back with much more megapixels and a way higher 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality.

Even being the best tablet in this comparison, the Microsoft Surface 3 is also cheaper.
