The Microsoft Surface 3 has an overall score of 66.3, which is a little bit better than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE's 61.7 general score. Even though the Microsoft Surface 3 is heavier than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, it's somewhat thinner and newer. The Microsoft Surface 3 has a bit better looking screen than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because it has a lot higher 1920 x 1280 resolution, a lot larger screen and a higher pixel density.

The Microsoft Surface 3 features a lot bigger memory for games and applications than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 120 GB more internal memory. The Microsoft Surface 3 features a bit superior processing unit than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics co-processor, it also counts with a greater number of cores and 3 GB more RAM memory.

Microsoft Surface 3 has a slightly better camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because it has a lot better 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution and a back-facing camera with lot more MP. Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE features a much better battery performance than Microsoft Surface 3.
