Comparison review
The Microsoft Surface 3 is slightly better than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, getting a 66.3 score against 66.2. The Microsoft Surface 3 body is newer than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0's, although it is a little thicker and heavier. The Microsoft Surface 3 counts with a bit more powerful processor than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics co-processor, and they both have a Quad-Core processor, the Microsoft Surface 3 also counts with 2,5 GB more RAM.
The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 counts with a little sharper display than Microsoft Surface 3, although it has a lot lower resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, a much smaller screen and a just a little worse display density. The Microsoft Surface 3 counts with a way bigger memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 112 GB more internal storage.
Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 features a very superior battery lifetime than Microsoft Surface 3. The Microsoft Surface 3 shoots slightly better photographs and videos than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because it has a way more mega pixels back camera and a much better 1920x1080 video definition.
Although Microsoft Surface 3 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy Microsoft Surface 3, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, giving up some features and specifications.
