Microsoft Surface 3 has a global score of 66.3, which is much better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9's overall score of 58.1. The Microsoft Surface 3 construction has the same thickness than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, but it's extremely heavier. Microsoft Surface 3 features a quite better processing power than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, because it has a higher number of cores (and they are faster).
Galaxy Tab 8.9 features just a bit better looking screen than Microsoft Surface 3, although it has a little bit less pixels per display inch, a little smaller screen and a way worse resolution of 800 x 1280px. The Microsoft Surface 3 shoots much clearer photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, because it has a lot better 1920x1080 video quality and a much more mega-pixels back-facing camera.
