Microsoft Surface 3 has a general score of 66.3, which is much better than Galaxy Tab's global score of 58.6. Microsoft Surface 3's design is noticeably newer and extremely thinner, but a lot heavier than Galaxy Tab. The Microsoft Surface 3 features just a bit better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab, because it has a higher pixel density, a lot better 1920 x 1280 resolution and a way bigger display.

Microsoft Surface 3 features much more storage for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage capacity. The Microsoft Surface 3 counts with a more powerful processing unit than Galaxy Tab, because it has more RAM memory and a greater number of cores.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab counts with a very superior battery life than Microsoft Surface 3. Microsoft Surface 3 takes a bit better pictures and videos than Galaxy Tab, because it has a lot better video definition and a camera with a lot higher 8 mega pixels resolution.

Although Microsoft Surface 3 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Galaxy Tab, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy Tab. If you want to save some money, you can buy the Galaxy Tab, letting go a few features and specs, but you will get the most out of your money.
