The iPad 3 is just a bit better than the Microsoft Surface 3, getting a 71.1 score against 65.9. Even being the best portable tablet in this review, we must tell that it's also an a lot older, a little bit thicker and a little heavier portable tablet. IPad 3 counts with iOS 6.1 OS, while Microsoft Surface 3 has Windows 8.1 OS.
The Microsoft Surface 3 counts with just a little better hardware performance than Apple iPad 3, because although it has lesser processing cores , it also counts with more RAM memory. IPad 3 counts with a sharper screen than Microsoft Surface 3, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a just a little higher screen density and a slightly higher 1536 x 2048 resolution.
The Microsoft Surface 3 features a superior storage capacity to install games and applications than iPad 3, because it has 128 GB internal storage. The Apple iPad 3 features a way better battery duration than Microsoft Surface 3. IPad 3 features a lot better camera than Microsoft Surface 3, although it has a much lower resolution back-facing camera and a worse 1920x1080 video resolution.
