The Apple iPad mini has a global score of 68.1, which is a bit better than Microsoft Surface 3's global score of 65.9. Apple iPad mini counts with iOS 8.x OS, while Microsoft Surface 3 has Windows 8.1 OS. The Apple iPad mini is a noticeably lighter and thinner tablet than Microsoft Surface 3. Microsoft Surface 3 counts with a little better hardware performance than Apple iPad mini, because although it has an inferior number of cores and doesn't have an extra GPU, it also counts with a greater amount of RAM.
The Microsoft Surface 3 has a bit more vivid screen than iPad mini, because it has a much bigger screen, a higher pixels count in each inch of screen and a way better resolution of 1280 x 1920.
