Galaxy Note 8.0's design is a lot lighter and a little bit thinner than Microsoft Surface 3, despite of the fact that it was released 2 years before. Galaxy Note 8.0 counts with Android 4.4.2 OS, and Microsoft Surface 3 works with Windows 8.1 OS.

The Microsoft Surface 3 has a little bit better screen than Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, because it has a bit greater pixel number per display inch, a lot higher resolution of 1280 x 1920 and a lot larger display. The Microsoft Surface 3 features a superior memory to install applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with more internal storage capacity.
