Galaxy Note 8.0 is just a bit better than Microsoft Surface 3, having a overall score of 68.4 against 65.9. The Galaxy Note 8.0 is an a lot older tablet than Microsoft Surface 3, but Samsung was able to build it just a little thinner and lighter. Galaxy Note 8.0 counts with Android 4.4.2 operating system, and Microsoft Surface 3 works with Windows 8.1 operating system.

Galaxy Note 8.0 counts with a better CPU than Microsoft Surface 3, because although it has less RAM, it also counts with an extra graphics processing unit and more CPU cores. The Microsoft Surface 3 has a little bit better looking display than Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, because it has a little bit greater pixels count per inch in the screen, a lot better 1280 x 1920 pixels resolution and a lot bigger display.

Galaxy Note 8.0 captures a bit better photographs and videos than Microsoft Surface 3, although it has a way lower resolution back-facing camera and a way worse 1280x720 (HD) video resolution. Microsoft Surface 3 features a much better memory to store more apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 96 GB more internal storage.
