The Microsoft Surface Go has a score of 66.5, which is better than the Acer Iconia W511's 59.5 score. Both tablets in this review have Windows OS (operating system), but the Microsoft Surface Go has older 10 version while Acer Iconia W511 has Windows 8 Pro. The Microsoft Surface Go design is just a little thinner and lighter than Acer Iconia W511.
Microsoft Surface Go features a little better hardware performance than Acer Iconia W511, and although they both have 2 cores, the Microsoft Surface Go also has a larger amount of RAM. Acer Iconia W511 has a bit sharper display than Microsoft Surface Go, because although it has a much lower pixel count per display inch and a way worse resolution of 768 x 1366 pixels, it also counts with a little bigger display.
The Microsoft Surface Go counts with just a bit better camera than Acer Iconia W511. They have a same resolution back facing camera. The Microsoft Surface Go features a slightly better storage for games and applications than Acer Iconia W511, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory.
The Acer Iconia W511 has a way better battery life than Microsoft Surface Go.
Although Microsoft Surface Go is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Acer Iconia W511, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Acer Iconia W511. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Microsoft Surface Go, otherwise you can save some money and get the Acer Iconia W511, letting go some specifications.
