Microsoft Surface Go is better than Galaxy Tab 8.9, having a 66.5 score against 58.1. Although the Microsoft Surface Go is somewhat heavier than Galaxy Tab 8.9, it's a bit thinner and also newer. The Microsoft Surface Go has Windows 10 operating system, and Galaxy Tab 8.9 comes with Android 3.0 operating system.

Microsoft Surface Go counts with a faster processing unit than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9. Both of them have the same number of cores. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 has just a bit better looking display than Microsoft Surface Go, although it has a bit smaller display, a way worse resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels and a little less pixels per inch in the screen.

Microsoft Surface Go features a much bigger storage to install applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, because it has 64 GB more internal memory. Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 counts with a really longer battery performance than Microsoft Surface Go. The Microsoft Surface Go captures much clearer videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, because it has a much higher 1920x1080 video quality and a back camera with much more mega pixels.

Microsoft Surface Go costs more money than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, but you can get a better tablet for that extra money.
