The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) has a score of 68.3, which is just a bit better than Microsoft Surface Go's general score of 66.5. Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) works with Android 8.1 Oreo OS, and Microsoft Surface Go counts with Windows 10 OS. Although the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) and Microsoft Surface Go were released only a few months apart, Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018)'s construction is extremely lighter but also just a little thicker.

Microsoft Surface Go counts with a bit more vivid screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), because it has a bigger screen, a little bit more pixels per screen inch and a much better 1800 x 1200 pixels resolution. The Microsoft Surface Go features a little faster processing unit than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), because although it has an inferior number of cores , it also counts with more RAM memory.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) takes much clearer pictures and videos than Microsoft Surface Go, although it has a much less MP resolution camera in the back and a lower video definition. Microsoft Surface Go has slightly more storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with 96 GB more internal memory capacity.

Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) has a much better battery performance than Microsoft Surface Go.

Despite of being the best tablet between the ones we are comparing here, Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) is also a bargain compared to the other tablets.
