Comparison review
The Microsoft Surface Pro is a little bit better than Acer Iconia W511, having a score of 63.2 against 59.5. Both tablets in our current comparison include the same Windows 8 Pro operating system. Although it's the best in this comparison, Microsoft Surface Pro's design is much thicker and extremely heavier than Acer Iconia W511.
The Microsoft Surface Pro features a little bit better screen than Acer Iconia W511, because it has a higher resolution of 1080 x 1920px, a quite bigger display and more pixels per screen inch. The Microsoft Surface Pro counts with slightly more memory for games and applications than Acer Iconia W511, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 64 GB more internal storage.
The Microsoft Surface Pro has just a bit better hardware performance than Acer Iconia W511, and although they both have a Dual-Core processor, the Microsoft Surface Pro also has an extra graphics processing unit and a higher amount of RAM. Acer Iconia W511 features a very superior battery life than Microsoft Surface Pro.
Acer Iconia W511 takes way better photos and videos than Microsoft Surface Pro, because it has a back-facing camera with a lot better 8 mega pixels resolution.
Although Microsoft Surface Pro is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Acer Iconia W511, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Acer Iconia W511. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Microsoft Surface Pro, otherwise you can save some money and get the Acer Iconia W511, resigning a couple features and specs.
