The iPad 3 has a general score of 71.1, which is much better than the Microsoft Surface Pro's global score of 63.2. Even when iPad 3 and the Microsoft Surface Pro were released only a few months apart, iPad 3 is a lot lighter and a lot thinner. The iPad 3 comes with iOS 6.1 OS, and Microsoft Surface Pro works with Windows 8 Pro OS.
The iPad 3 features a brighter display than Microsoft Surface Pro, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a better screen density and a higher 1536 x 2048 resolution. Microsoft Surface Pro has a superior memory to install games and applications than Apple iPad 3, because it has more internal memory.
