Comparison review

Microsoft Surface Pro has a score of 63.2, which is just a bit better than the Asus VivoTab's 57.5 general score. Even being the best in our current comparison, the Microsoft Surface Pro design is noticeably heavier and extremely thicker than the Asus VivoTab. Both tablets in this review work with Windows OS (Operating System), but Microsoft Surface Pro has a more recent 8 Pro version and Asus VivoTab has Windows 8, so it gives a lot of extra features.

Microsoft Surface Pro features a sharper display than Asus VivoTab, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with way more pixels per inch in the screen and a better resolution of 1080 x 1920. The Microsoft Surface Pro features a bit faster processor than Asus VivoTab, and although they both have 2 CPU cores, the Microsoft Surface Pro also has a much better graphics co-processor working at 650 megahertz and 2 GB more RAM.

The Microsoft Surface Pro has a superior storage capacity to install games and applications than Asus VivoTab, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with more internal memory. The Asus VivoTab's battery performance is very similar to Microsoft Surface Pro's battery lifetime.

Asus VivoTab shoots greater photographs and videos than Microsoft Surface Pro, because it has a much higher 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition and a camera with lot more megapixels.

Although Microsoft Surface Pro is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Asus VivoTab, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Asus VivoTab. If you are trying to save some money, you can get the Asus VivoTab, giving up a few features and specifications, but you'll get the most with your savings.
