Comparison review

The Microsoft Surface Pro is slightly better than Dell Venue 8 Pro, having a overall score of 63.2 against 59.6. Both devices in our current comparison use Windows operating system, but the Microsoft Surface Pro has the older 8 Pro version while Dell Venue 8 Pro has Windows 8.1 Pro. Even being the best portable tablet we are comparing here, the Microsoft Surface Pro body is noticeably thicker and incredibly heavier than the Dell Venue 8 Pro.

The Dell Venue 8 Pro counts with a bit better looking screen than Microsoft Surface Pro, although it has a way worse 800 x 1280 resolution, a just a bit worse pixel density and a way smaller screen. Microsoft Surface Pro features a bit superior processor than Dell Venue 8 Pro, because although it has a lower number of slower cores, it also counts with more RAM memory and an additional graphics processing unit.

The Dell Venue 8 Pro captures better photos and videos than Microsoft Surface Pro, because it has a back camera with a way higher 5 mega-pixels resolution. The Microsoft Surface Pro features a slightly bigger storage for games and applications than Dell Venue 8 Pro, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage capacity.

Dell Venue 8 Pro counts with a much better battery performance than Microsoft Surface Pro.

Microsoft Surface Pro is not only the best tablets between the ones we are comparing here, but it's also very cheap compared to the other tablets, which makes it an obvious call.
