Comparison review
Microsoft Surface Pro has a general score of 63.2, which is a little bit better than the Google Nexus 7's 59.3 global score. Even being the best tablet in this comparison review, the Microsoft Surface Pro is an extremely thicker and a lot heavier tablet than the Google Nexus 7. Microsoft Surface Pro counts with Windows 8 Pro operating system, while Google Nexus 7 comes with Android 5.1 operating system.
The Google Nexus 7 has a little bit better looking display than Microsoft Surface Pro, because although it has a much smaller display and a way worse resolution of 800 x 1280, it also counts with a just a bit higher number of pixels in each display inch. The Microsoft Surface Pro has a much bigger memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Google Nexus 7, because it has 128 GB internal memory.
Microsoft Surface Pro has a bit superior CPU than Google Nexus 7, because although it has a lower number of cores , it also counts with 3 GB more RAM and a better 650 MHz graphics processor. The Microsoft Surface Pro features a lot better camera than Google Nexus 7. The Google Nexus 7 features a much better battery life than Microsoft Surface Pro.
Although Microsoft Surface Pro is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Google Nexus 7, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Google Nexus 7. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Microsoft Surface Pro, else you can save some money and buy the Google Nexus 7, resigning some specifications.
