Comparison review

Microsoft Surface Pro has a general score of 63.2, which is just a bit better than the Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1)'s 61.4 overall score. Despite being the best tablet we compare here, Microsoft Surface Pro is a noticeably thicker and much heavier tablet than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1). Microsoft Surface Pro counts with Windows 8 Pro OS, and Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) comes with Android 4.1 OS.

Microsoft Surface Pro features a better looking display than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because it has a way better 1080 x 1920 resolution, a little bigger display and a higher pixel density. The Microsoft Surface Pro counts with a way bigger memory to store more apps and games than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with more internal memory.

The Microsoft Surface Pro counts with a better performing processing unit than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), and although they both have a Dual-Core processing unit, the Microsoft Surface Pro also has 3 GB more RAM and a GPU. Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) counts with a much better battery life than Microsoft Surface Pro.

Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) shoots way better photographs and videos than Microsoft Surface Pro, and although they both have the same video definition, the Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) also has a back camera with a way higher 3 mega-pixels resolution and higher 30 frames per second video frame rates.

Although Microsoft Surface Pro is a better device, it costs more money than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1). If you want to save a few dollars, you can buy the Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), and give up a few features and specs, but you will get the most with your budget.
