Comparison review

Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 has an overall score of 64.8, which is just a bit better than the Microsoft Surface Pro's 63.2 global score. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 counts with Android 4.0.4 operating system, while Microsoft Surface Pro has Windows 8 Pro operating system. Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 is an older tablet than Microsoft Surface Pro, but Samsung could make it noticeably lighter and much thinner.

Microsoft Surface Pro has a little bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, and although they both have a Dual-Core processing unit, the Microsoft Surface Pro also has a faster graphics co-processor running at 650 megahertz and a greater amount of RAM. The Galaxy Tab 7.7 counts with a bit better looking screen than Microsoft Surface Pro, although it has a just a bit worse screen density, a really smaller screen and a lot worse 800 x 1280 resolution.

The Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a much better camera than Microsoft Surface Pro, and although they both have the same (HD) video quality and the same video frame rates, the Galaxy Tab 7.7 also has a back facing camera with way more megapixels. The Microsoft Surface Pro has a bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Galaxy Tab 7.7, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory capacity.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 features a very superior battery performance than Microsoft Surface Pro.

Although Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 is a better device, it is more expensive than Microsoft Surface Pro, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Microsoft Surface Pro. If you want to save some dollars, you can buy Microsoft Surface Pro, and give up a few features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your savings.
