Comparison review

Microsoft Surface Pro is slightly better than the Galaxy Tab 8.9, having a 63.2 score against 58.1. The Microsoft Surface Pro body is newer than the Galaxy Tab 8.9's, but it's much heavier and noticeably thicker. Microsoft Surface Pro works with Windows 8 Pro OS, while Galaxy Tab 8.9 works with Android 3.0 OS.

The Microsoft Surface Pro has a superior processing unit than Galaxy Tab 8.9, and although they both have a Dual-Core processing unit, the Microsoft Surface Pro also has an additional graphics processing unit. The Microsoft Surface Pro and the Galaxy Tab 8.9 count with extremely similar screens, although the Galaxy Tab 8.9 has a little bit smaller screen, a much lower resolution of 800 x 1280 and a little bit inferior amount of pixels per inch of screen.

Galaxy Tab 8.9 takes much better videos and photos than Microsoft Surface Pro, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same 1280x720 video quality, the Galaxy Tab 8.9 also has a back-facing camera with much more mega pixels. Microsoft Surface Pro features much more storage capacity for apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, because it has 128 GB internal storage.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 counts with a way better battery performance than Microsoft Surface Pro.

Although Microsoft Surface Pro is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Microsoft Surface Pro, but if you don't you can save some money and buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, letting go a couple specs and features.
