Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 has an overall score of 69.2, which is a bit better than Microsoft Surface Pro 2's overall score of 65.1. Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0's design is incredibly lighter and incredibly thinner than Microsoft Surface Pro 2, although they were only released 7 months apart. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 has Android 4.4.2 OS, while Microsoft Surface Pro 2 works with Windows 8.1 Pro OS.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 features just a bit better display than Galaxy Note 8.0, because it has a really larger display, a bit more pixels per screen inch and a much higher 1080 x 1920 resolution. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 counts with a bit faster processing unit than Microsoft Surface Pro 2, because although it has 6 GB less RAM memory, it also counts with a graphics processor and a greater number of 1.6 GHz cores.

Microsoft Surface Pro 2 features a lot bigger memory for applications and games than Galaxy Note 8.0, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with 512 GB internal storage capacity. The Galaxy Note 8.0 features a very superior battery performance than Microsoft Surface Pro 2.
