Comparison review
IPad 3 has a score of 68.2, which is a little bit better than Microsoft Surface Pro 3's 63.4 overall score. The iPad 3 body is lighter than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, although it's just a bit thicker and was released many years before. IPad 3 comes with iOS 7.x operating system, and Microsoft Surface Pro 3 comes with Windows 8.1 Pro operating system.
Microsoft Surface Pro 3 features a bit more powerful processing unit than Apple iPad 3, and although they both have a Dual-Core processing unit, the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 also has more RAM memory. The iPad 3 has a bit more vivid screen than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a bit greater pixels number in each inch in the display and a little bit higher resolution of 1536 x 2048px.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has a much bigger storage to store more apps and games than iPad 3, because it has 112 GB more internal storage capacity. The Apple iPad 3 features a much longer battery performance than Microsoft Surface Pro 3. Apple iPad 3 shoots a lot better photos and videos than Microsoft Surface Pro 3. Both of them have the same video frame rates, the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality and a back facing camera with a 5 MP resolution.
IPad 3 costs a bit more than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, but you can get a better tablet for that few more dollars.
