The Galaxy Note 8.0 has a general score of 68.4, which is a little bit better than the Microsoft Surface Pro 3's 63.4 score. Galaxy Note 8.0 counts with Android 4.4.2 OS, and Microsoft Surface Pro 3 counts with Windows 8.1 Pro OS. Despite of the fact that Galaxy Note 8.0 is older than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, it's design is notably lighter and somewhat thinner.

The Galaxy Note 8.0 features a bit faster CPU than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, it also counts with an additional graphics co-processor and 2 more CPU cores. Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has a bit better looking screen than Galaxy Note 8.0, because it has a bit higher pixels count per inch in the screen, a much bigger display and a lot better 1440 x 2160px resolution.

The Galaxy Note 8.0 captures much better photos and videos than Microsoft Surface Pro 3. Both of them have a camera in the back with a 5 megapixels resolution, the same video frame rates and the same 1280x720 video definition.
