Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has a general score of 68.5, which is much better than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1)'s 61.4 general score. Even though Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is heavier than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), it's a little bit thinner and incredibly newer. The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 counts with Windows 8.1 Pro operating system, while Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) comes with Android 4.1 operating system.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 counts with a quite better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), and although they both have the same number of cores, the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 also has a higher amount of RAM. Microsoft Surface Pro 3 counts with a sharper display than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because it has a larger display, a much better resolution of 1440 x 2160px and more pixels per screen inch.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 counts with a much bigger memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) features a really longer battery life than Microsoft Surface Pro 3.
