Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has a score of 72.2, which is much better than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7's overall score of 60.8. Although it's the best device we compare here, we must highlight that it is also heavier and just a little bit thicker. Microsoft Surface Pro 3 works with Windows 8.1 Pro OS, while Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has Android 4.2.2 OS.
The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has a little bit better hardware performance than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, because although it has a lower amount of RAM, it also counts with a higher number of cores (and they are faster) and an additional graphics processing unit. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 counts with a much sharper display than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, because although it has a really smaller display and a little bit lower 1200 x 1920 resolution, it also counts with a greater pixels density.
Microsoft Surface Pro 3 counts with a very superior camera than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7. The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 features a much better memory capacity to install applications and games than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, because it has 512 GB internal storage.
