Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is a lot better than the Google Nexus 7, getting a general score of 72.2 against 59.3. Even though Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is extremely heavier than Google Nexus 7, it's thinner and also newer. Microsoft Surface Pro 3 works with Windows 8.1 Pro OS, while Google Nexus 7 comes with Android 5.1 OS.
Microsoft Surface Pro 3 and Google Nexus 7 feature quite similar processing units, because although the Google Nexus 7 has a lower amount of RAM, it also counts with a GPU and 2 more processing cores. Google Nexus 7 has a bit sharper display than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, although it has a lot worse 800 x 1280 pixels resolution and a really smaller screen, they both have the same number of pixels per display inch.
Microsoft Surface Pro 3 features much more memory capacity for games and applications than Google Nexus 7, because it has 480 GB more internal storage. The Google Nexus 7 features a superior battery performance than Microsoft Surface Pro 3. The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 features a much better camera than Google Nexus 7.
Although Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Google Nexus 7, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Google Nexus 7.
