The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has Windows 8.1 Pro operating system, while Galaxy Note 8.0 works with Android 4.4.2 operating system. Although Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is newer than the Galaxy Note 8.0, it is way heavier and thicker.
