Comparison review

Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has a general score of 72.2, which is a little bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0's 66.2 overall score. Microsoft Surface Pro 3 counts with Windows 8.1 Pro OS, and Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 works with Android 4.4.2 OS. Despite being the best tablet in our current comparison, the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 body is somewhat thicker and noticeably heavier than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 features a bit better looking display than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, although it has a lot smaller screen, a way worse 1280 x 800 resolution and a bit less pixels per inch of display. Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has a bit better processing power than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because although it has less cores and doesn't have an extra graphics co-processor, it also counts with a greater amount of RAM memory.

The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has a bit better camera than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, although it has a back facing camera with a lot lower resolution and a way worse 1280x720 (HD) video resolution. Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has a much bigger storage for games and applications than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with 496 GB more internal storage capacity.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 counts with a very superior battery duration than Microsoft Surface Pro 3.

Although Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Microsoft Surface Pro 3, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, letting go some features and specifications.
