Comparison review
The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is way better than Galaxy Tab, having a general score of 72.2 against 58.6. Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is a noticeably newer and noticeably thinner tablet than the Galaxy Tab, but it is extremely heavier. Microsoft Surface Pro 3 counts with Windows 8.1 Pro operating system, and Galaxy Tab has Android 2.3.3 operating system.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 features a greater performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab, because it has a greater amount of RAM memory and a higher number of cores (and they are faster). Microsoft Surface Pro 3 features a sharper display than Galaxy Tab, because it has a better screen pixels density, a lot bigger screen and a lot higher 1440 x 2160 resolution.
Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has a way bigger storage for apps and games than Galaxy Tab, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with 512 GB internal storage capacity. The Galaxy Tab counts with a little bit better camera than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, although it has a way lower video definition and a much less mega-pixels resolution back facing camera.
Galaxy Tab features a superior battery life than Microsoft Surface Pro 3.
Although Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Galaxy Tab, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy Tab. If you want to save some money, you can buy Galaxy Tab, and give up a few features and specs, but you will get the most with your budget.
