Comparison review
The iPad 3 has an overall score of 71.1, which is better than the Microsoft Surface Pro 3's global score of 61.4. The iPad 3 comes with iOS 7.x OS, and Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has Windows 8.1 Pro OS. Despite of the fact the iPad 3 is noticeably older and just a bit thicker than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, it's design is still lighter.
Microsoft Surface Pro 3 features just a bit better hardware performance than iPad 3, and although they both have a Dual-Core CPU, the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 also has a greater amount of RAM memory. Apple iPad 3 has a little sharper display than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a little greater display density and a slightly better resolution of 1536 x 2048.
The Apple iPad 3's memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos is very similar to the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 one, and although the Apple iPad 3 has no slot for an external memory card, they both have equal 64 GB internal storage. Apple iPad 3 counts with a much longer battery performance than Microsoft Surface Pro 3.
Apple iPad 3 counts with a lot better camera than Microsoft Surface Pro 3. Both of them have a same resolution back-facing camera, the same 1920x1080 video definition and the same video frame rate.
