Comparison review
The Microsoft Surface Pro 6 is just a bit better than the iPad Air 2, getting an 81.5 score against 79.3. The Microsoft Surface Pro 6 comes with Windows 10 operating system, and iPad Air 2 works with iOS 8.x operating system. Even though Microsoft Surface Pro 6 is notably newer than iPad Air 2, it is a lot heavier and way thicker.
Microsoft Surface Pro 6 features just a bit better performance than iPad Air 2, because although it has a 32 bits processor instead of 64-bits, it also counts with a greater amount of RAM memory and a greater number of cores. Apple iPad Air 2 has a better screen than Microsoft Surface Pro 6, although it has a much lower 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution, a just a little less pixels per inch of display and a lot smaller display.
The iPad Air 2 takes much clearer videos and photos than Microsoft Surface Pro 6. Both have the same video frame rates, the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution and a back-facing camera with an 8 MP. Microsoft Surface Pro 6 features a much greater storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than iPad Air 2, because it has 872 GB more internal memory capacity.
The Apple iPad Air 2 counts with a really longer battery lifetime than Microsoft Surface Pro 6.
Although Microsoft Surface Pro 6 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Apple iPad Air 2, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Apple iPad Air 2. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can buy Apple iPad Air 2, giving up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most with your savings.
