IPad mini 2 has an overall score of 77.2, which is much better than the Microsoft Surface Pro 7's global score of 66.9. The iPad mini 2 comes with iOS 8.x operating system, and Microsoft Surface Pro 7 has Windows 10 operating system. The iPad mini 2 body is just a bit thinner and incredibly lighter than the Microsoft Surface Pro 7, although it was released 6 years before.
Microsoft Surface Pro 7 has a little bit better performance than iPad mini 2, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics co-processor and a 32-bit processor against 64-bits, and they both have 2 processing cores, the Microsoft Surface Pro 7 also counts with a higher amount of RAM memory.
The iPad mini 2 has a sharper display than Microsoft Surface Pro 7, because although it has a way lower 1536 x 2048 resolution and a lot smaller screen, it also counts with a just a bit greater pixels density. The Apple iPad mini 2 counts with as much memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos as the Microsoft Surface Pro 7 one, they have the same 128 GB internal storage.
Apple iPad mini 2 shoots greater videos and photos than Microsoft Surface Pro 7, although it has a camera in the back with much less mega-pixels and a worse (Full HD) video resolution. IPad mini 2 features a way better battery performance than Microsoft Surface Pro 7.
Despite of being the best tablet of the ones in this comparison, iPad mini 2 is also a bargain compared to the other tablets.
