Comparison review
The iPad 3 has a score of 71.1, which is much better than the Microsoft Surface RT's overall score of 58.4. IPad 3's design has the same thickness than the Microsoft Surface RT, but it is just a bit lighter. The iPad 3 works with iOS 6.1 OS, and Microsoft Surface RT works with Windows RT OS. IPad 3 counts with a much sharper display than Microsoft Surface RT, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a way greater pixels count per inch in the screen and a lot better resolution of 1536 x 2048.
Apple iPad 3's storage for games and applications is very similar to the Microsoft Surface RT one, and although the Apple iPad 3 has no slot for an external memory card, they both have exactly the same internal storage capacity. The Microsoft Surface RT has a better performing processing unit than Apple iPad 3, because it has more RAM memory, an additional graphics co-processor and a larger number of faster cores.
The iPad 3 has a much longer battery life than Microsoft Surface RT. IPad 3 takes greater photographs and videos than Microsoft Surface RT, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 1920x1080 video definition, the iPad 3 also has a much more mega-pixels back camera.
The iPad 3 costs a lot more money than the Microsoft Surface RT, but you can get a much better tablet for that few extra dollars.
