Comparison review
Asus VivoTab RT has a global score of 61, which is slightly better than the Microsoft Surface RT's 58.4 global score. Both devices in this comparison review include the same Windows RT OS, so both of them should provide very similar OS features. Although Asus VivoTab RT and the Microsoft Surface RT were released only a couple months apart, Asus VivoTab RT is incredibly lighter and thinner.
Microsoft Surface RT counts with a bit more powerful CPU than Asus VivoTab RT, and although they both have 4 processing cores and 2 GB of RAM, the Microsoft Surface RT also has an extra graphics processing unit. Asus VivoTab RT has a screen that is just as good as the Microsoft Surface RT one, because although the Asus VivoTab RT has a bit smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same 768 x 1366 resolution, it also counts with a quite better pixels quantity per inch of screen.
The Asus VivoTab RT has a very superior camera than Microsoft Surface RT, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same (Full HD) video definition, the Asus VivoTab RT also has a back facing camera with a much higher resolution. The Asus VivoTab RT and Microsoft Surface RT both feature really similar storage capacity for games and applications, and although the Asus VivoTab RT has no slot for an SD memory card, they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal memory.
The Asus VivoTab RT and Microsoft Surface RT count with incredibly similar batteries performance.
Although Asus VivoTab RT is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Microsoft Surface RT, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Microsoft Surface RT. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Asus VivoTab RT, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Microsoft Surface RT, giving up some specs and features.
