Comparison review
The Asus VivoTab Smart is just a bit better than the Microsoft Surface RT, getting a overall score of 58.7 against 58.4. Both devices we are comparing here use Windows OS (operating system), but Asus VivoTab Smart has an older 8 version while Microsoft Surface RT has Windows RT. The Asus VivoTab Smart is a somewhat lighter but just a little thicker tablet device than the Microsoft Surface RT.
Asus VivoTab Smart has a bit better hardware performance than Microsoft Surface RT, because although it has lesser processing cores , and they both have the same RAM amount, the Asus VivoTab Smart also counts with a better graphics processor. The Asus VivoTab Smart counts with just a bit better display than Microsoft Surface RT, because although it has a bit smaller screen, and they both have the same exact resolution of 768 x 1366, the Asus VivoTab Smart also counts with a little more pixels per display inch.
Asus VivoTab Smart counts with a much better camera than Microsoft Surface RT, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality, the Asus VivoTab Smart also has a much more mega-pixels camera in the back. The Asus VivoTab Smart has as much storage capacity to store more games and applications as Microsoft Surface RT, and although the Asus VivoTab Smart has no slot for an external memory card, they both have the same internal memory.

Although Asus VivoTab Smart is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Microsoft Surface RT, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Microsoft Surface RT. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can buy Microsoft Surface RT, letting go a couple features and specs, but you will get the most out of your budget.
